Description
A re-release of the collection of hymns to the Theotokos, found on the previous CD titled "Akatalipton Esti" with some additional hymns. As before in this production, the hymns provide a distinctive selection of Byzantine chant dedicated to the Virgin Mary, sung in the unique and particularly moving style of the Nuns of the Convent at Ormylia, Greece. In CD sleeve format, with copy in Greek and English, no hymn text or liner notes.
ReviewBy: Benjamin Williams
This recording and its predecessor have become the signature CDs that represent the singing of Nuns of the Convent at Ormylia, Greece. The new release changes a few hymns, adds the improvement of re-engineering and new packaging, and will certainly continue as a masterpiece of Byzantine chant in the female voice.
