Description
This new release of the "Esperinos" (Vespers) service for the Feast of St Mary Magdalene, originally recorded in 1985, has been re-engineered and released as a 2-CD set. Recorded at the Holy convent of the Annunciation in Ormylia. Digipak format, with no liner notes, Contents listed in Greek and English.
ReviewBy: Benjamin Williams
This recording now includes the complete Vespers service with the Lity, performed in classical Byzantine chant style and with the unique sound quality of the female choir from Ormylia Convent. The quality of the recording is noticeably improved over the original release, and having the complete service is a pleasure--the only thing missing is liner notes with hymn text!
