ReviewBy: Benjamin Williams
This unique product, focuses on the pivotal person of St. Lazarus, opens to us the meaning of one of the pivotal persons of Holy Week, the brother of Mary and Joseph who was raised from the dead by Christ in an act anticipating His own Resurrection. CD1 is comprised of hymns from the Vespers and Matins of the Saturday of Lazarus, CD2 contains hymns from the Divine Liturgy as well as other hymns and folk songs about St. Lazarus. The chanting is sublime and conveys the import and transcendent feeling of these special services. Beautifully performed and very well executed, this is a worthy addition to any collection and makes a superb gift. The two folk songs add a delightfully different dimension of the celebration of St. Lazarus.
