Description
An audio and visual feast produced in homage to Greece's national poet Dionysios Solomnos. Solomnos' poetry is of both Hellenic and theological interest and is vividly read in English by Julie Christie and others to the background of music of noted Greek composer Nikos Kypourgos and the Koutloumous Monastery choir. When played on a PC there is also a tour of the paintings and historical treasures of the Holy Monastery of Koutloumous on Mt. Athos and from the Greek War of Independence.
ReviewBy: Nicholas Chapman
Not only is this CD a homage to Dionysios Solomos, but with its range of subjects and the quality of the project, it is lovely, thought provoking and relaxing.
