This page offers the reader the basic set of Daily Prayers in the Eastern Orthodox tradition. It is not intended to include all prayers and services, or to be a replacement for liturgical worship. Rather it is intended to provide you with the basic prayer structures which have been the core of personal spirituality in the Eastern Tradition for almost 2,000 years.
Daily Prayers include Morning, Mid-day and Evening prayers which should be said by every Orthodox Christian daily.
For those desiring to expand the cycle of daily prayer, the Hours are offered. These include the 1st, 3rd, 6th and 9th Hours of the daily liturgical cycle, modified for personal use at home. Also included are meal prayers.
As an added service, for those desiring to include the chanting of the hymns of the day, also available is a download-able Menologion, at no cost to you. This will allow you to access on a daily basis, the specific hymns for a given day to include in your daily prayer, as well as access to the Bible reading prescribed for the day.
May God bless you on your spiritual journey.
