Installing
MENOLOGION is a free computer program which provides you with access to the Troparia and Kontakia for every day of the year. When the program first starts, it reads the date set in your computer's clock and displays the Troparia and Kontakia for the current date. You can set the program to display dates according to the Old Calendar or the New Calendar. You can select any date and display the Troparia and Kontakia for that date. It is also possible to browse through the Troparia and Kontakia either forward or backward day by day. You can also search for and find saints by name.
MENOLOGION can also display an Icon next to the text of the saints. There are 58 Icons in all, and the icons of specific saints are automatically displayed on the correct date. MENOLOGION allows you to print the text of the Troparia and Kontakia for a single day, or for a series of days. You can also edit the text in MENOLOGION's editor window and save the edited text to a file, or you can save unedited text to a file. MENOLOGION also remembers your preferences for program options and starts the program the way you want it every time you use it.

MENOLOGION is available in a version for Windows 95 and in a version for Windows 3.1. The two versions are very much alike except that MENOLOGION for Windows 95 contains a more robust text editor, similar to Windows WordPad, which allows formatting of text, while MENOLOGION for Windows 3.1 contains a text editor that is similar to Windows NotePad.New version 1.1, released January 22, 1998, now shows the movable feasts in the date bar on the main window. A new menu item on the Help menu allows you to find the date of Easter and Pascha. The name of the program has now been changed to Menologion.

MENOLOGION for Windows 95 is a self-extracting installation program. When you have M32v11.exe downloaded to your hard drive, select Run from the Start Menu to run the file, or double click on the file in Windows Explorer. A setup wizard will guide you through the installation process. (MENOLOGION will run on Windows NT. See the Readme file.)
MENOLOGION for Windows 3.1 is a self-extracting installation program. When you have M16v11.exe downloaded to your hard drive, select File | Run in Program Manager to run the file, or double click on the file in File Manager. A setup wizard will guide you through the installation process.
