Description
One of the most important passages in Scripture, First Corinthians 13 is often read and rarely followed. Eastern Orthodox liturgist and theologian St. John Chrysostom was called the "golden-mouthed" for the eloquence of his preaching. Now in a popular contemporary English translation for the first time, with a foreword by Frederica Mathewes-Green, The Love Chapter presents these valuable reflections for today's reader.
ReviewBy: Benjamin Williams
A worth while read for all Christians, especially those with a special link to St. John Chrysostom, who wrote and preached eloquently about so many subjects, love and the living of the imperatives of First Corinthians 13 included. His approach is illuminating and practical, and like of all his sermons and writings, he doesn't pull punches! The contemporary English translation makes this writing so accessible that all can benefit from it, and leaves little excuse for not getting serious about living out the content.
